In life, many people are seeking after new things and after new experiences in order to jump-start their future. However, many people fail to make any breakthroughs in discovering new things because they fail to realize that there is a process that must utilized in order to find new things.
A person can give 100% effort without ever achieving his or her goals because effort does not always equate with productivity. Only the ones that are productive will be able to gain access to the end result of discovery.
For example, using a dull ax to chop down a tree will never cause for the tree to fall. Chopping millions of times with a dull ax is how some people live life. They keep their routines dull, which in turn brings about fatigue and burnout.
However, sharpening the ax before chopping the tree down will cut down on the amount of time needed to chop the tree down and will also cut down on the amount of effort needed to chop the tree down. Once you begin to sharpen your ax, then you will be able to experience those Eureka! moments that you have been searching for your entire life because efficiency is the link between hard work (productivity) and discovery.
Sharpening the ax is something that most people do not implement into their lives although this action is very simple to do. The first step is to increase knowledge on a daily basis. Continue to give due diligence to research. Keep yourself abreast of current events via the thousands of media sources that are readily available to you.
The second step is to learn from the experiences of others. If you are looking to become successful, then be willing to learn tips from other successful people. Once you learn some of these tips, apply your life to them.
The third step is to not become complacent. Never feel like you have arrived. If you are not moving up, then you are moving down. Do not allow for yourself to become your own worst enemy.
The final step is to not overwork. Give your body, your mind, and your spirit time to rest and to recharge on a weekly basis. Take one day out of the week to relax. Then, you will be able to walk the path of productivity to discovery.
